Jill Shuemaker, RN, CPHIMS is Director of Clinician Measures at the American Board of Family Medicine Foundation’s Center for Professionalism and Value in Healthcare.  Jill leads the Measures That Matter to Primary Care Initiative which aims to develop clinical quality measures to assess Primary Care’s high value functions – integrating, personalizing and prioritizing the needs of patients, communities and health systems.  Additionally, Jill ensures Clinical Researchers, Population Health Assessment Engine (PHATE) consumers, and Clinical Quality Performance Improvement colleagues measure needs are met when interfacing with Primary Cares PRIME Qualified Clinical Data Registry.  Jill has over 30 years of health care experience as a Registered Nurse, Clinical Informaticist, and meeting federal quality measure requirements. She is past Chair of HIMSS National Quality and Safety Committee, current member of HIMSS Government Relations Public Policy Committee, and has served on several government Clinical Quality Measure and Health IT task forces.  She is a national speaker and presenter on various clinical quality topics such as data driven patient care, quality metrics and reporting in value-based care, interoperability challenges to eCQM reporting, federal quality reporting provider value proposition, aligning eCQM compliance with improving care outcomes and value-focused reimbursement.  In recognition for her expertise in the field of healthcare and information technology, Ms. Shuemaker received the HIMSS Foundation Covert Award.  She is uniquely qualified to provide key insights in the use of health IT in care delivery, quality measurement and regulatory reporting.
